The power of desire
Ganesh The Lord of Wisdom
REFLECTIONS

In the portraits of Vinayaka, a mouse is often found sitting close to good and fragrant food, but an attentive glance will find out that the mouse is staring fixedly at Ganesh, not daring to touch anything without his order. A mouse, even if little and solitary, gnawing by its sharp teeth can provoke big damage in the granary. In every personality, there is a mouse that can devour a mount of merits: it is the power of desire.
The aspirant has worked so deeply on his sense of possess and enjoyment to cancel in himself the power of desire paying perfect obeisance to the will of the Master. When the Master wants to play his role, he rides the mouse, meaning that he manifests his desire to serve the world so that it becomes his vehicle to move and act.
