Ganesh sits on the psychic lotus of the muladhara chakra, the ganglia of nerves at the base of the spine within every creature, that governs time, matter and memory. The worship of Ganesh strengthens your memory, builds character, brings knowledge from the within and protects from the lower forces residing in the less known chakras below the muladhara, which govern fear, anger, jealousy and the confused thinking centred on self preservation.
