from Sadguru bhajans

On the 24th February 1958 the ceremony of inauguration of the temple was organised at Kathgarìa Dham. Thousands of people took part in it, including many Western people. The endless chanting of the names of the Lord started, and so the oblations to the sacred fire. Food was distributed to all the people present there. Around 11, when everybody was busy in chanting the names of Lord or taking part in the yaghya or distributing food, a divine light manifested all of a sudden in human form. This celestial form, suspended two feet above the ground, was seen by many people and Hairakhan Baba was recognised, dressed with His long shirt and the Himalayan hat. The appearance of that divine light produced such a joy that many people started to dance in ecstasy and somebody even fainted by the emotion.
